About the Role
As a Finance Data Analyst at Circle, you’ll sit at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Strategy. This is a hybrid role reporting to the FP&A Lead and designed to serve as a critical bridge between financial planning and data engineering.
Initially, the role will focus heavily on data modeling and pipeline development (≈70%), gradually evolving into a more balanced role supporting forecasting, analysis, and decision-making as Circle’s finance data stack matures.
You’ll play a key role in building the financial data warehouse that supports budgeting, forecasting, strategic insights, and AI-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Build SQL pipelines to transform and model finance data
- Create and maintain auditable financial datasets (ARR, customer profitability, etc.)
- Develop automated dashboards and financial reports
- Support Finance and Operations with actionable analysis
- Build internal data apps for processes like sales compensation and salary benchmarking
- Implement AI-powered workflows for financial reporting and analysis
- Help unify and scale Circle’s finance data infrastructure

Skills & Experience Needed
To succeed in this remote finance data analyst role, you should have:
- 2–5 years of experience in data, analytics, or a related field
- Advanced SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, data modeling)
- Experience building production-grade data pipelines (dbt, SQLMesh, etc.)
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Experience with BI tools such as Hex, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability
- Professional-level English proficiency (CEFR C2 / ILR Level 5)
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
