About the Role

As a Customer Journey Specialist, you’ll act as the bridge between trial users and long-term customers in Customer.io’s self-serve tier. Your mission is to help users reach their “aha” moments quickly so they’re excited to become, and remain paying customers.

You’ll combine elements of Customer Success, Onboarding, and Business Development, without cold outreach or quotas tied to selling. Instead, your success will be measured through activation, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

This is a fully remote role open to candidates across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Engage new trial users early to understand goals and guide setup
  • Help customers reach meaningful “aha” moments quickly
  • Monitor product usage and engagement to tailor outreach
  • Proactively support customers who are stuck or rapidly scaling
  • Capture and share customer feedback with Product and Engineering
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and internal teams
  • Educate users through best practices, product tips, and resources
  • Identify trends in activation, engagement, and conversion

Compensation & Benefits

Customer.io believes in transparency and competitive pay:

  • On-target earnings (OTE): $90,000 USD, $72,000 base salary, $18,000 variable compensation
