About the Role
In this role, you’ll help train AI systems by creating and validating realistic Excel workflows. Your work will simulate how professionals use Excel in real-world scenarios, translating natural language instructions into accurate spreadsheet actions.
This is a remote, independent contractor role with flexible scheduling, making it ideal for freelancers, analysts, or professionals with strong Excel expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret natural language prompts and perform spreadsheet manipulations using native Excel functionality
- Create step-by-step changelogs documenting every modification made in Excel
- Use Excel’s Record Actions feature to auto-generate Office.js scripts
- Support high-quality data creation for training intelligent Excel agents
Ideal Qualifications
- Deep familiarity with advanced Excel features, including:
- PivotTables
- Formulas and functions
- Charts and visualizations
- Data validation
- 2–6 years of hands-on Excel experience in analytical, financial, or technical roles
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to follow structured workflows and accurately replicate complex instructions
- Experience with Excel’s Automate tab or recording macros is a plus
