About the Role

The Customer Success Programs Manager plays a critical execution role within Sonatype’s global Customer Success team. This position focuses on operational rigor, program management, and executive-level reporting, ensuring that customer initiatives are well-structured, measurable, and delivered consistently across regions.

You’ll work closely with leaders across Customer Success, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations, serving as an execution partner to the Chief Customer Officer.

While the role is primarily remote, occasional work from Sonatype’s Fulton, Maryland office is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Customer Success leadership and cross-functional teams to support programs tied to expansion, renewals, and customer advocacy
  • Drive end-to-end execution of complex customer initiatives using generative AI and AI agents
  • Establish and track program-level KPIs aligned with Customer Success performance goals
  • Provide structured visibility into program health through dashboards and reporting
  • Translate complex customer and operational data into clear, executive-ready insights
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc reports to support forecasting, health monitoring, and escalations
  • Maintain strong data quality and reporting integrity across customer systems
  • Prepare weekly executive communications, including risk assessments and progress summaries
  • Support executive preparation with presentations, summaries, and structured reporting
  • Coordinate internal communications related to customer programs and priority initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Operations, Program Management, Revenue Operations, Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, or consulting
  • Hands-on expertise with Salesforce reporting and data structures
  • Experience with Gainsight or similar Customer Success platforms
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker
  • Strong, reflexive use of generative AI, including curiosity and ability to build AI agents
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for modeling, analysis, and reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint for executive-level presentations
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams independently
  • Experience working directly with senior executives
  • Strong attention to detail and operational rigor
  • Must reside within commuting distance of Fulton, MD
