Artdey, a fast-growing online art gallery for African art, is hiring a Content Marketing and Operations Lead to help scale its creative and commercial impact. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lagos, with accommodation provided for candidates willing to relocate.
This is not a traditional corporate marketing role. You’ll be building systems, telling powerful stories, and helping African art reach a global audience, all while working closely with artists, collectors, and creative communities.
Position Summary
As the Content Marketing & Operations Lead, you’ll split your time between content creation/storytelling (50%) and operations/execution (50%). You’ll own Artdey’s voice online while also helping manage the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the gallery running smoothly.
This role is ideal for a fresh graduate or early-career professional who wants hands-on experience, real responsibility, and the chance to grow fast.
Content & Storytelling Responsibilities (50%)
- Manage Artdey’s social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter).
- Create newsletters people actually want to read.
- Interview artists and turn their stories into engaging content (social posts, blogs, email campaigns).
- Plan and execute content campaigns around African art and artists.
- Experiment with formats like short-form video, long-form posts, and emerging platforms.
Operations & Execution Responsibilities (50%)
- Source and curate new artworks for the gallery.
- Onboard and manage relationships with artists.
- Handle inventory, product listings, and artwork photography.
- Coordinate shipping, packaging, and delivery logistics.
- Support art licensing opportunities.
- Help organise and execute pop-ups and art events.
- Schedule viewings and oversee installations at customer locations.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
- Fresh graduate or 0–2 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of social media and viral content.
- Excellent written English (captions, emails, storytelling).
- Basic phone photography skills.
- Comfortable using tools like Shopify, Substack, Canva, and Google Workspace.
- Lagos-based or willing to relocate.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Background in marketing, communications, art, or related fields.
- Experience creating content (blog, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
- Basic design skills (Canva or Photoshop).
- Genuine interest in African art and culture.
